Let me paint you a picture (..God I'm funny)

We're camping. Beautiful setting with the trees and the birdsong, bubbling creek... how nice would it be to sit there and soak up the serenity while letting my creativity flow with some paints, and I don't know, paint a tree or something.

Now there are some kids around, which I expected, so I brought some supplies (read: my painting dregs I wanted to get rid of) for them to defile while I have a nice moment with the serenity.

I just can't believe that this still needs to be said. But after having my mum's dad adamant that the scientifically perfect way to make the best cup of tea is to get the tea out of the tea bag, put it in a fine strainer, rest it across the top of your mug and then just pour hot water over it - I can’t stay quiet. And because he heard it from someone on ABC radio it's an absolute fact and he will fight you if you disagree.

My best buddy and I used to write stories together back in high school. You’ve never produced a weirder and more fun thing to read when you take turns with other weirdo to write a paragraph each. Not having to commit to a plot or take responsibility for a story really frees you up to just open up the old weirdo-valve and write the kind of hilarious weird shit that usually has no place anywhere.

“Gosh, thank you! I’ll look into it”. Not even very long of googling reveals an absolute multi mega shit ton of really funny and talented writers with their own free blogs, tumbler, twitter, etc plus they also supplement their stories with

No one wants to hear how you’re being sooo environmentally friendly and your hot tips for cutting waste, and ‘geez Karen, really a plastic cup? what, do you hate the planet?”. No one is interested in your hippy self-righteous bullshit.. so without further ado here’s mine and how I basically saved the planet last week. You’re welcome.
