Life, the Universe and Everything

Welcome back loyal fans out in radio land! We have been off-air for some months now, but we actually have some news now! So sit back, strap yourselves in and feel the G's!!!!

Event No.1:
Brett & Alison got Married = roadtrip!
Isaac's uncle married his long time sweetheart Alison in a beautiful ceremony in the mountains. However, this ideal setting in the mountains happened to be a good 8 hours drive away in Nundle, NSW. So the family (comprising of Chris & Steven, Rod & Alanna, Gemma & Chris, Scott, Al, Jess and Kez&Ize) piled into mini bus and took a road trip down past Tamworth deep into the Cockroach country. Snacks, arguments over whether or not it was a smokers stop or a toilet break, and a drunk GPS navigator were just some of the highlights of this memorable trip! On the day after the ceremony we jumped into the back tray of a 4'be and bobbed down a dirt road around some mountains to a log cabin where we had a bbq lunch and lots of yummy cake. Here are some piccies:

Event No.2:
Camping
The weekend after Brett and Alison's wedding, the Englart & Sherriff family went camping at Booloumba Creek, which is in between Malany and Kenelworth. Now, this is Kerrie's first time inside a tent...so it was another experience of her's to tick off her Things To Do Before Death List. It is pleasing to report that she loved it and would do it again! However next time there would definately need to be many more blankets...and maybe a soft toy to hug for comfort at night. The bush party people were: Chris & Steven, Gemma & Chris, Rod, Kez&Ize, Scott, Val & Leo, Grandma Shirley & Merv, Jess & Sam, Marg & Robbie, and Helen and Steve. So it was a fantastic weekend of kiwi jokes, awesome food, lots of burning sh*t, so much booze we could have started a recycling plant, goannas, birds, ugly coat loving catapillars, and lots of food and booze...and more food...and a bit more booze...and a long long long, cold, dark walk to the toilets.

The main purpose of this camping trip was to bury Jo Englart's ashes, Isaac & Jess's mum. A georgous massive tree was picked just off a little into the bush from our campsite, we held a cerimony, Isaac dug the hole at the tree's base, Rod spread the ashes, Rod & Jess said a few words, and we all toasted with champagne to Jo and felt she was with us. It was very moving and an appropriate place too.

Here is proof that we were really there:

a) the plebs tents

b) the BEST tent (yes...thats our forest palace)

c) the stream through our campsite

d) an awesome tree

e) Marg, Jess, Chriss, Merv, Grandma, Ize

f) the swimming hole

g) Ize skipping stones

Our New Digs

Hello again meat creatures!

At long last, we have our own pad! Affectionately referred to as 'The Lovenasium', its a great little unit at Stones Corner. It's two bedrooms and has a little balcony with views to the city....(if you lean over the side).

But within 1-9mins walk we have - a pub, 3 bottle-o's, sushi train, thai, pizza, noodles, coffee shops, outlet shopping, fruit shop, supermarket, chemist, post office, busway, train station, parks, freeway...everything really! And we are only a $12 cab ride from the city...which is great when it costs close to that for us both to catch the bus.

So with Ize looking forward to Uni in 2 months and Kez kicking off her career, we are relaxing on the couch with frosty beverages fresh from the bar (oh yes, did we forget to mention we have a bar? yes..it takes up half the kitchen) putting our feet up on the TV unit, and enjoying our next phase in life together.

Finally we have some pictures! We have just bought some new furniture, so once we have assembled it we will update the pics.

Marg & Robbie are married!

Isaac's Auntie, Marg, got married to her sweetie, Robbie.

They married at the Outward Bound school in the Queen Charlotte Sounds in New Zealand and we were lucky enough to be there!

After a massive effort from all the guests and Marg & Robbie, the school was transformed into a beautiful setting fit for a ceremony set amongst trees and watch houses, and a reception over looking the sounds for sunset. It couldn't have been more perfect, with guests flying from Australia and as far as America, and nothing but sunshine and warmth from the skys and guests.

Delicious food, bottomless wine & beer, mouth watering wedding cake and dancing all night long are some of the things that everyone will remember.

Marg & Robbie - your whole family and all your friends could not be happier for you! Congratulations on the love and friendship you have found within each other.
