No juice man, no juice.

So funny story - I don't have an adaptor so I can't charge my laptop. Why didn't I buy one before I went? Cause I looked at them all in Brisbane, and all the AU to Jap adaptors only allowed for two prong plugs. And my laptop has 3 prongs (like every other Australian device).

Well that's stupid, I thought to myself, I'll grab one at Narita airport, surely that's the place to buy adaptors. Noooope.  Not to worry, I consoled myself, I'll just grab one at the many shopping malls in Tokyo. Nooooope.  I haven't seen adaptor anywhere outside of the airport. Clearly I've been missing all the electronic shops, but even in Akihabara (aka Electric City) there were none to be found.

I did some googling and apparently most people either: A) use a universal adaptor (which if you've ever used one is unreliable at best), B) get a Japan to EU adaptor and then plug an AU one into that, or (my personal favourite) C) just break off the earth pin from your AU plug and make it 2 prong!  However I can't attempt any of these fine options as I don't have any adaptors. So.. I've been reduced to blogging from my phone. The horror.

I'm going to make one last effort at finding an adaptor tomorrow - there is a camera shop in Kyoto that's meant to have them. So until then, here's a few photos to chew on:
